Management software for roofing contractors
From the call about three torn shingles to the invoice for a full replacement: the same job, the same file, from start to finish.
Your day, as it really is.
Morning, a call about a leak. Noon, a quote to build on the hood of the truck. Afternoon, two crews on two roofs. Evening, hours to collect and invoices to get out. It is not the work that costs you your evenings, it is what comes after.
The quote leaves from the roof
You start from one of your templates — shingles, membrane, repair —, adjust quantities and your prices, and send it before climbing down. It stays in your pipeline until it is won or lost.
Hours follow the right job
Your roofers clock in from their phone, on the job site where they are. Hours attach to the job, and you see what it has cost so far against what was planned.
The invoice goes out with GST and QST
When the job is done, you invoice it from the same file: the amounts, both taxes calculated separately, your RBQ licence number on the document. Your client sees it in their client portal, and you send the review request from the invoice.
One job, from the first call to the invoice.
- 1
The call
A request comes in — an emergency after high winds or a planned replacement. It becomes a client file, with the address and the history.
- 2
The quote
Built from the truck from your template, sent, followed until the answer.
- 3
The job and the hours
The accepted quote becomes the job. Your crew clocks in on it; photos and notes attach to it.
- 4
The invoice
The finished job is invoiced in one move, GST and QST calculated, and the dashboard moves.
The demo is a roofing company. Open it.
Toiture Rivard inc. is fictional, but everything else is the real software: its membrane and shingle quotes, its roofers clocking in, its service calls after high winds. Go to Quotes, convert one into a job, invoice it.
What ORYX does not do
Take-offs from PDF plans, unit-price libraries by trade, CCQ payroll and the CCQ monthly report. If that is your number one need, estimating or construction payroll software will serve you better. ORYX starts once you have your prices, and you want the job to make its own way to the invoice.
Roofers' questions
Do my roofers need to install an app?
No. The console opens in their phone's browser and pins to the home screen. They clock in, add job-site photos and see their schedule.
I mostly do emergency repairs. Is it built for that?
Yes. Service calls have their own screen, with a priority (emergency, high, normal, low), a status, a source and the assigned technician. An emergency does not wait for a quote to be built.
Is QST calculated on top of GST?
No. Since 2013, QST is calculated on the amount before GST. ORYX calculates both separately, on the quote as on the invoice.
